MLB Multi-Color T-Shirt Collection: 40+ Review — A 213 g Tee as the Cheapest Line in a September Haul
Two $7.91 cotton tees, 213 g and 208 g on the desk scale, packed into a mixed September consolidation. Both survived a stack of heavier items; the antibacterial line and the 0.00 g warehouse weight remain unchecked.

We ordered two units of the MLB Multi-Color T-Shirt Collection — code 910 in black and code 970 in white — in the second week of September, deliberately inside the autumn surge, and packed them into a mixed rehearsal box with a pair of sneakers and two hoodies to see whether a $7.91 tee behaves as cargo or as an afterthought. The short answer: this is the cheapest weight you can add to a haul, and it held up better than the box did.
What came off the steel table
The warehouse wrapped the rehearsal box in a single layer of grey poly mailer, taped on three faces, with no corner reinforcement. Inside, both tees sat in individual frosted bags, folded twice, with the QC tag photographed and left on the 910. The heavy items were stacked on top with a sheet of bubble wrap between layers — our own packing choice, not the warehouse's — so the printable surface of the white 970 was the item most at risk in transit. It arrived with no crease line across the chest print and only a soft fold at the left shoulder that dropped out after an hour on a hanger.
The desk scale read 3.42 kg for the packed parcel against a warehouse rehearsal figure of 3.39 kg, a 30 g gap that we attribute to our own tape and label. Per tee, the 910 in size L weighed 213 g and the 970 in size M weighed 208 g. The listing's own agent weight field shows 0.00 g, which tells you nothing; the fabric band of 180–250 g is the only weight claim worth reading.
Listing against tape measure
We taped both tees flat before washing and re-taped them after one cold wash, line-dried. The listing carries a stated 1–2 cm measurement tolerance, and everything we measured fell inside it.
| Spec | Listing (size L) | Flat measurement, before wash | After one cold wash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fabric | 100% cotton | Cotton hand-feel, label states cotton | Same, slightly softer |
| Chest, flat | 55 cm | 55.5 cm | 55.0 cm |
| Body length | 71 cm | 70.5 cm | 70.0 cm |
| Sleeve, shoulder to hem | 21 cm | 20.5 cm | 20.5 cm |
| Hem width | Not stated | 55.5 cm | 55.0 cm |
| Unit weight | 180–250 g band | 213 g | 211 g |
The measured size M came in at 52.5 cm chest and 68 cm length — proportionally consistent with the L, which matters when you are ordering three colorways in different sizes and want one chart to cover them. The 1–2 cm tolerance is real and it is not evenly distributed: the length lost 0.5 cm in the wash, the chest 0.5 cm, and neither moved outside the band the listing promises.
Why a light tee changes a consolidated parcel
A tee at just over 200 g is the rare line where the shipping cost behaves like the sticker price. In our pressed-and-folded rehearsal box the two tees added roughly 0.6 cm of height at the base of the stack, and because they compress flat they do not push the parcel into a higher volumetric bracket the way a shoebox does. Placed on top of the sneakers rather than under them, they cost almost nothing to add; placed at the bottom, they absorb every impact from the corner drops.
- Add tees to the top layer of a mixed box. Cotton compresses, so a corner crush that dents a shoe box will print a crease into a white tee underneath it.
- Ask for the rehearsal photos before payment in the surge weeks. The fold quality on the white 970 was visible in the warehouse images and matched what we received.
- Treat the loose fit as a layering allowance, not a size instruction. Both units measured roomy through the chest relative to the labeled size.
Two tees added less than a centimetre of stack height and about 420 g of billed weight. The sneakers did the damage; the cotton took the crease.
Fit, print and one cold wash
The cut is loose through the chest with a round neck that stayed round after washing, and the printed letter motif sits high on the chest with clean edges on both codes. We did not subject either tee to a hot wash or a tumble dryer, so the one severe-shrinkage report in our evidence file stays unresolved — a different MLB top, a single customer, and no care instructions printed anywhere in the listing. If you dry everything hot, treat the 1–2 cm allowance as already spent.
The sizing evidence conflicts and we are not going to flatten it: one buyer-facing source describes MLB apparel as generously cut and says people size down, while a baseball forum thread describes Nike-made MLB tees running small enough that a regular L needed an XL. Our two units sat close to chart. The tiebreaker remains your own chest measurement against the chart, not the brand's reputation.
What we could not check
The listing states an antibacterial material function, and no test standard is named. We photographed the neck label: it gives fibre content and size, not a treatment claim, so the antibacterial line is catalog copy we can neither confirm nor dismiss. The 969 Year of the Horse entries in white and black were not available in the sizes we wanted during the surge window, and the listing does not describe that graphic beyond a color name and a geometric print theme. Both remain open questions rather than findings.
As a seasonal add-on, this is one of the better filler lines we have packed: light, flat, printable, and priced low enough that a crease is annoying rather than expensive. As a standalone order, the shipping minimum will cost more than three tees.
So haben wir geprüft
Opened the 910 black and 970 white on the steel table, photographing mailer, inner bags and QC tag. Weighed each tee at 213 g and 208 g against a 0.00 g warehouse field, taped flat measurements for both sizes against the chart, packed them into a mixed rehearsal box, and cold-washed them once.

Häufige Fragen
How much weight does one tee add to a consolidated parcel?
Our size L weighed 213 g and the size M 208 g on the desk scale. Two tees added about 420 g of billed weight and under a centimetre of stack height in a mixed rehearsal box, far less than a shoebox.
Do the black and white codes measure the same?
Close enough. The 910 black in L taped at 55.5 cm chest and 70.5 cm length, while the 970 white in M came in at 52.5 cm and 68 cm. Proportionally consistent, and both inside the 1–2 cm tolerance.
Should the tees go on top of heavier items in the box?
Yes. Cotton compresses and picks up creases from anything resting on it harder than it is. Packed above the sneakers, both tees arrived without a crease across the print.
Redaktionsurteil
A light, flat-packing cotton tee that measures close to its chart and costs almost nothing to add to a consolidated parcel. Fit evidence conflicts and the antibacterial claim is untestable, so confirm the chart first.
Was funktioniert
- 213 g and 208 g on the desk scale, inside the stated 180–250 g band.
- Every flat measurement fell within the listed 1–2 cm tolerance, before and after one cold wash.
- Compresses flat, so it adds billed weight without pushing a parcel into a higher volumetric tier.
Worauf achten
- Warehouse weight field reads 0.00 g, so the listing's own weight data is unusable.
- No care instructions in the listing, and one severe-shrinkage report sits unconfirmed in the evidence.
- Fit reports conflict between generous and small, so the chart is the only safe reference.
